Royal flush

A royal flush is a high-card poker hand that consists of four different cards. When you have a royal flush, you have a winning combination. Currently, you have seen five of the 52 cards in your deck. Therefore, you only need one more card to complete the royal flush. However, it is important to note that the royal flush is the most difficult card combination to achieve. On average, people fail to achieve it 46 times out of 47. If this happens to you, don’t get discouraged and keep playing.

Four of a kind

When a poker player holds four cards of the same rank, they have Four of a Kind. The hand is considered to be a Royal Flush if it beats other, lower-ranking hands. Four of a Kinds can also be beaten by a straight flush, which is an eight-high straight flush.

The deck of 52 cards has 624 different possible hand combinations. This makes 4 of a Kind the most valuable of all poker hands. Each combination of four cards is ranked according to their rank, and when comparing two 4 of a Kind hands, the kicker is an important factor. For example, Quad Queens has a kicker of an ace, while Quad Kings have a kicker of two. If a player has a King with a pair of Queens, the higher-ranked hand will win.
